Resumen

Este artículo resume el estado actual de las investigaciones subacuáticas en el área andina, el emprendimiento del arqueólogo boliviano Carlos Ponce Sanginés y su equipo en las aguas del lago Titicaca y las perspectivas del potencial científico subacuático de los lagos de la región del altiplano y en la costa del Pacífico.

Abstract

This report summarizes the present situation of the underwater investigations at the Andean area, the undertaking fulfilled by the Bolivian archaeologist Carlos Ponce Sanginés and his team in the lake Titicaca waters and the perspectives of the underwater scientific potential of the high plateau lakes and the Pacific shore.
